सेवा परमो धर्मFor Rashtra Sevika Nepal, Seva (service) is not merely a charitable act — it is the highest duty (paramo dharma) of every citizen. We believe that a healthy society is built not on transactions, but on unconditional service to one another.
Our Sevikas serve in times of peace and crisis alike — teaching in villages, running health camps, distributing relief materials, cleaning temples and public spaces, and caring for the elderly. Every act of seva, however small, contributes to the greater good of the Rashtra.

Emergency Relief
First responders during earthquakes, floods, landslides, and national crises. Our trained Sevikas mobilize within hours, bringing food, medicines, and emotional support to affected families.
Education Support
Running literacy classes, scholarship programs, dropout prevention, and free tutoring for underprivileged children. Special focus on girls' education in remote areas.
Health & Sanitation
Free health camps, menstrual hygiene programs, maternal health awareness, nutrition drives, and sanitation campaigns in rural communities and urban slums alike.
Environment
Tree plantation drives, river cleaning campaigns, waste management awareness, and promotion of sustainable living in alignment with Nepalese cultural values of nature reverence.
Elder & Widow Care
Regular visits to elderly homes, providing companionship, meals, and medical assistance to lonely elders. Special support programs for widows and abandoned women.
Livelihood & Skills
Vocational training in tailoring, handicrafts, food processing, and digital literacy. Micro-enterprise support and market linkages for women-run small businesses.

Jajarkot & West Rukum Earthquake
Magnitude 6.4 earthquake devastated Karnali Province in November 2080 BS. Rashtra Sevika Nepal mobilized 3,000+ Sevikas within 24 hours, distributing 8,000 food packets, blankets, tarpaulins, and medicines. Established 5 relief camps and provided psychosocial support to survivors.

COVID-19 Pandemic Response
During the nationwide lockdown, Rashtra Sevika Nepal emerged as a critical relief network. Sevikas distributed 200,000+ masks, 50,000 food packages to daily wage workers, conducted sanitization drives in 400+ villages, and ran telephone helplines supporting isolated elderly women.

Gorkha Earthquake — Nepal's Worst in 80 Years
The devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake killed 9,000 people. Rashtra Sevika Nepal's most extensive relief operation — 10,000+ Sevikas across 14 affected districts, 25 relief camps, 1 lakh meals served, and ongoing rehabilitation support for 2+ years post-disaster.
Flood & Landslide Relief — Every Monsoon Season
Every year during the monsoon, Sevikas in flood-prone Terai districts and landslide-vulnerable hilly areas pre-position relief materials and respond within hours. Districts like Rautahat, Saptari, and Sindhupalchok see regular Rashtra Sevika relief operations.

Temple & Public Space Cleaning
Weekly shramdan (voluntary labor) at temples, parks, and public places — maintaining community spaces with pride and devotion.
Mahila Arogya Kendra
Women's health centers in rural districts providing free basic health consultations, antenatal care, and family planning education.
Swavalamban Kendra
Self-reliance centers teaching tailoring, weaving, pickle-making, and other cottage industry skills to women from marginalized communities.
Adult Literacy Program
Evening literacy classes for adult women who never had access to formal education — giving them the gift of reading and writing in Nepali.
Balwadi (Pre-school Centres)
Free preschool education centres for children aged 3–6 in remote areas where no formal kindergarten exists.
Clean Water & Sanitation
Campaigns for safe drinking water, toilet construction support, and hygiene education in villages with poor sanitation infrastructure.
